- In-Community Conduct: All posts, comments, media, text channels, and voice chats within r/AnimalRescue are subject to our community guidelines.
- Cross-Platform & Off-Site Behavior: While we generally do not monitor what happens outside our community, moderators reserve the right to take action (including post removal, user bans, or filtering references to other subreddits/platforms) if off-site conduct poses a serious risk to our space or safety. This includes, but is not limited to:

- Intentionally spreading dangerous misinformation that could lead to harm or death for an animal or person.
- Misrepresenting or using the r/AnimalRescue name, brand, or assets without permission.

- Community Platforms: Refers specifically to the official r/AnimalRescue subreddit and the linked r/AnimalRescue Discord server.
- Direct Threat: Any statement or post that a reasonable person would interpret as a serious expression of intent to cause physical harm, abuse, or violence toward animals or people.
- Misinformation: Unverified, false, or misleading advice—especially regarding medical care, illegal wildlife handling, or dangerous training techniques—that puts animals or rescuers at risk.
Enforcement Notes
For some of our Community Guidelines below, you will see an “Enforcement Notes and Clarifications” section. Enforcement Notes are additional examples of what is and isn’t allowed on /r/AnimalRescue, focused on clarifying existing policies already being enforced. Enforcement Notes are not new policies or new rules. We write these notes to share more information about our existing Community Guidelines and to answer commonly asked questions

Reddit's Terms of Use / Content Policy
To keep this lovely community a safe and informative place for all, we require all users to follow the Reddit content policy and terms of service at all times. Some of our other subreddit rules overlap with the site-wide rules, but such rules provide more information specific to r/AnimalRescue to help you understand what kind of content is allowed.
Reddit's Basic Rules Include:
- Remember the human. When you communicate online, all you see is a computer screen. When talking to someone, you might want to ask yourself, "Would I say it to the person's face?" or "Would I get jumped if I said this to a buddy?"
- Adhere to the same standards of behavior online that you follow in real life.
- Read the rules of a community before submitting. These are usually found in the sidebar.
